Sleeping Accommodations
which can facilitate up to 25 people in shared
accommodation. There are 5 bedrooms with 6 beds per room. Alberta building regulations limit each room to only 5 beds unless the occupants are younger than 10 years old.
Beds are comfortable twin mattresses on nice wooden bunk bed frames. Three of
the rooms have one double bed as well as 5 twins. A small bunk house is also
available for groups larger than 25 or those wanting a bit more privacy.
Generally our guests bring their own blanket or sleeping bag and pillow, but linens are
available for a nominal fee if you prefer.
Main Hall
The main hall is a combination dining room and sitting room. The
sun shines all day long in the main hall. On our large couches you can sit back, relax and
take in the beautiful view of our picturesque mountains and forests while visiting with friends.
Meeting Facilities
Our main hall can also be used as a meeting or presentation space. For entire lodge bookings we will
guarantee quite and privacy. The lodge has a projector and screen as well as wireless internet, plenty
of plugins, televisions, and a speaker system.
Washrooms
There are 2 large washrooms complete with 3 showers each and plenty of hot
water. Laundry facilities are available for extended stays.
Library
We have a small library where you can enjoy some quiet time, read one of
our many outdoor books, browse through pictures or watch a video.
Deck & Hot Tub
Wouldn't you love to sit out on the deck, watch the sun go down
over the mountains, enjoying the peace and tranquility? How about
watching the stars on a clear night while soaking your weary
muscles in our hot tub, after a day on the mountain? Our hot tub sits 8 comfortably, and many more
on occasion!
Firepits & Camping
The lodge have a large communal firepit as well as a number of smaller firepits around the property. There
are many lovely camping areas for those who prefer to sleep outdoors. We can provide power for a few RV's if
required.
Guests at the Sheiling Mountain Lodge start their day with a delicious home cooked buffet
style breakfast. Typically this includes pancakes or french toast, hashbrowns, ham or sausage, fruit, and coffee, tea, and
juice. For lunch we often arrange a hot meal with soup and sandwiches if you are at the lodge during the day.
If you are heading outside, we provide bagged lunches which generally include a sandwich on homemade
buns, homemade cookies, granola bar or other snack, apple, and juice. For mountaineering days or
other longer outings, more food will be available accordingly. Upon arriving back at the lodge, a
hearty home cooked diner will be served. A variety of delicious entrees may be served buffet style,
with salads and sides. Desert will be served after dinner and a small snack left out for the evening.
Often on the last day of the stay, soup or chili will be served before guests begin the drive home.
Coffee, tea, and juice are always available. If guests have allergies or dietary restrictions, this will be
accommodated with alternate food and meal options.
Please notify us in advance if you have a serious or deadly food allergy of any sort.
There is never a shortage of food and there is no need to bring any of your own. Fridge space and ice is available to keep your beverages cool during the day.
