One Week, Ages 14 and up - no experience necessary.
Maximum Group Size: 8

The ultimate outdoor rock climbing adventure! This is the perfect course for gym climbers, those who have tried climbing before, or anyone who dreams of scaling the rocks! During the week we will visit a different cliff every day and experience a variety of rock types. Instructors of this course are expert rock climbers with years of experience teaching climbing skills and have excellent safety records.

·                  Knots and belays

·                  Ropes and harnesses

·                  Setting up anchors and climbing calls

·                  You will learn how to belay and set up climbs

·                  Rappelling

·                  Ascending Ropes

·                  Leading Sport Climbs

·                  Climbing like crazy!!

What to Bring


Gear can be purchased at a variety of outdoor stores including MEC, a co-op with some of the lowest prices in North America.

·                  OPTIONAL: Personal Climbing gear - harness, helmet, rockshoes, biners, etc. COE will provide these as necessary.

·                  Clothing (track suit for running, running shoes, sweaters, socks (lots), shorts, T-shirts and sweat pants).

·                  Warm jacket (fleece best), Warm pants (not jeans).

·                  Rain Jacket and Pants

·                  Gloves, hat and toque

·                  Swim wear/ water shoes

·                  Toiletries, towels, facecloth

·                  Sleeping bag and pillow (sleeping bag should be one that can be packed in a back pack) good to minus 10.

·                  Day pack

·                  A good pair of hiking boots(best) or hiking shoes

·                  Camera and pocket money (optional)

·                  Sunglasses, Sunscreen

·                  2 - 1L Waterbottles (Nalgene brand best)

·                  Make sure to properly label all of your gear.

Please avoid bringing valuables to camp. We will not be responsible for lost or stolen articles.

The following items are not allowed at COE summer youth programs

·                  Cell Phones

·                  MP3 Players, Walkmans, etc.

·                  Gameboys, Nintendo's, etc.

·                  Knives
