Introduction to Backcountry Skiing

Learn the basics of safe travel and making turns on the sweet slopes of the Canadian Rockies. Grab your alpine ski touring, telemarking, or splitboarding gear and join us for skiing like you've never experienced before!

Agenda

Day 1: Arrive in the evening to settle in, meet your fellow skiers, and prepare for the next days adventure.

Day 2: After a big home cooked breakfast we will head out to the icefields parkway for skiing at Bow Summit, Parker's Ridge, Drive By, or one of many other great venues. Your guide will show you the prime runs and provide continuous advice on safe travel, route finding, and of course, your skiing. A well deserved dinner will await us upon arriving back at the lodge.

Day 3: More shredding the slopes at a new area! After a great dinner, everyone will say their goodbyes and head home with fond memories and hopefully a new found passion for backcountry skiing.
