Lyell Icefield Igloo Adventure

Join COE for an igloo based, heli-assisted skiing adventure on the remote Lyell Icefields. The heli-access and megaplex concept make this the most comfortable igloo adventure possible!

Agenda

Jan 26th: Arrive at 8:00am at the Sheiling Mountain Lodge. Gear check with the COE guiding team. Guides will be on hand to help with final packing and prepping for the flight in. Weather permitting we will fly that day around 2pm. If weather does not permit flying that day all guests will be staying at COE and have the afternoon and evening to relax and rest up for the upcoming adventure.

Jan 27 - 30th: Igloo based adventures at the Igloo Mega-plex located on the Lyell icefield at 9000ft. Possible ski touring destinations include the Lyell Peaks, Mons Glacier, Alexandria Glacier, and Mt Forbes.

Jan 31st: After loading the helicopter with all the extras we brought, we will begin the ski out via Glacier Lake with our light ski touring day packs. It will be a long haul but the 6000ft of descent and excellent fall lines chosen by your guides will make it all worth while. Upon reaching the Glacier Lake trailhead, a COE van will pick us up and take us back to the lodge for the wind up feast and hot tubing.
