Avalanche Skills Training 2 (AST2)

During this course we will visit a variety of different snowpacks around the Rockies and Columbia Mountains. This is a much more in depth course and will give participants many more skills and tools for safe travel in avalanche terrain.

Prerequisites

Completion of a AST 1 course is required.

At least 10 days of travel in avalanche terrain since completing AST 1.

Instruction

Instructors of these courses are CAA (Canadian Avalanche Association) Level 2 Avalanche Technicians who have vast experience and knowledge in mountain environments. They have years of teaching experience and will do a great job of passing on their knowledge to all participants.
