Top Roping & Anchor Building 2 Day Course

This intensive two day program is designed to teach new climbers how to safely set up rock climbs at top-roping areas. By the end of the 2 days participants should feel comfortable heading out on their own for a day on the rocks at crags where the top is accesible without having to lead climb. Many different anchor setups will be taught and practised with emphasis on safety and simplicity. Proper set up of rappels will also be covered.

There are no prerequisites for this course. However, experience has shown that participants who have taken an Intro Weekend or have equivelant experience will get the most out of the course.

For those wishing to learn more advanced rock or alpine climbing skills, this course is scheduled so that participants may continue on with further instruction after the course. Check out our other rock and alpine course listings for more information.

Agenda

Arrive the morning of and meet your guide for the day and fellow participants.
