Triangle Peak

Location:Across the river from Thompson Creek just to the East of Mt. Murchison.

Climbing

Ice: A couple of easier lines regularly form at the bottom but rarely get climbed. Some years there is potential for hard multipitch mixed routes.

Rock: Nothin yet.

Alpine: The easiest way up is to slog up the low angle slopes on the West side of the peak. Another straight forward but much more interesting line is described below. The prominent triangular face appears to hold some promise for both summer rock routes and winter mixed routes.

East Ridge (II 5.3) - A nice outing with some excellent scrambling near the top.

NE Face (III 5.8) - A challenging line up the big face.
