Located on a 600 foot cliff halfway between Nordegg and the Icefield's Parkway, this "vertical trail"
brings the popular European sport of Via Ferrata to the Rockies!
The ferrata was build by a small group of dedicated climbers based out of the
Nordegg area with the help of the David Thompson Corridor Climbers Association.
This is one of the first Ferrata's in North America, and the very first in Alberta's Rocky Mountains!
With the help of COE guides, the Ferrata has been climbed by kids as young as 10 and as old as 55. All that is required is moderate walking fitness and a sense of adventure. You don't have to be a rock climber or extreme adventurer to enjoy this excellent outing.
